LAUREN DENHAM
Founder/CEO

Lauren was raised by a single mother in Florida and has always been a big believer in girl power. Her mom is her greatest inspiration and she was determined to create a life that would make her proud.

She started college at 16, had a Master's Degree at 21 and then decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.

Lauren wishes she could say that everything worked out the way she envisioned, but like most things in life, it didn't go according to plan. She admits that a couple of nights were spent crying in the bathtub asking herself "WHY am I doing this?"

With time, she came to the realization that something DID go right. While empowering herself to keep going, she noticed how much she enjoyed empowering other girls too. She dreamed of doing something that would combine her passion of writing, fashion, supporting women and charity work.

But instead of dreaming about it, she did it. And so, Every Ella was born. And Lauren isn't crying in the bathtub anymore.

What is one of your favorite quotes?

"My life is my message." - Mahatma Ganhdi

What's your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?

Indoor -- watching one of my favorite shows with a bowl of popcorn curled up on the couch with my guy.

Outdoor -- I love hiking in the mountains of Malibu and having a picnic overlooking the ocean. I know. We have it rough in California.

What quality do you admire most in others?

Loyalty and kindness. I picked two. Did I cheat?

What's your favorite month of the year?

I don't have a favorite month. I'm failing this Q&A already.

What sound do you love?

When my nephew says my name. He just learned it! It's more like NO-WHEN than LAUREN... but I am quite content being NO-WHEN.

If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?

OPRAH! I love what she was able to accomplish and how she used her success to make the world a better place. I envision us having girl talk over chai tea, walking the beach & picking veggies in her garden. Oprah, if you're reading this, Gayle can come too!

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Ego and people who are superficial. I have never been impressed by fancy houses, luxury cars or designer duds. Talk about something that truly matters. Be humble. Be interesting. Be kind. THAT impresses me!

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

I think it would be great to speak other languages. Mostly so I could eavesdrop on conversations when they think I can't understand them.

If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?

My aunt Holly. She passed away in a car accident when she was 18. I was young, so I don't have any memories of her. But I know I would have loved her SO much!

Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?

Sometimes I get Julia Roberts. It's maybe a stretch. But I will 100% do a Pretty Woman remake. Your move, Hollywood.

What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?

'Simple Man' & 'Free Bird' by Lynyrd Skynyrd. 'Mary Jane's Last Dance' by Tom Petty. 'Paradise' by Coldplay. But some days, I'm obsessed with Britney Spears, Lana Del Rey or gangster rap. Just depends on my mood.

At what age did you become an adult?

I think I was born an adult. As a kid, I used to lecture adults if I saw them smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol. What I'm saying is… I'm a lot of fun to hang out with.

What is your favorite food?

OH, a food question! I LOVE pasta, pizza, popcorn, cookies and pretty much anything terrible for you.

What advice would you give your younger self?

DO NOT TAKE OUT STUDENT LOANS!!! (just kidding… not kidding)…

Okay, my advice is to make memories. Make as many memories as you can. You will NEVER be able to turn back time, so make the most of EVERY second. And eat the cupcake. Always eat the cupcake.

RANDI EMMANS-BAILYN
Co-Founder/COO

Randi grew up in the small town of Brookfield, Connecticut. She attended Western Connecticut State University, where she majored in Film and Communications Media Arts.

When she was 23, she made the “big move” to Los Angeles to pursue her career in acting. Growing up, she always knew she wanted to perform and act.

However, there was also a passion in her from the time she was a child to help others. During college, she volunteered with teenage girls struggling with body image and depression. She also arranges an annual holiday backpack drive for the the homeless community in Los Angeles.

When Lauren came to her with the idea of Every Ella, she was immediately excited to be involved. She loved the thought of a brand centered around a positive message.

Let's not forget to mention... she is a BIG fashion lover. Lauren says she ALWAYS looks cute!

What is one of your favorite quotes?

"I think happiness is what makes you pretty. Period. Happy people are beautiful. They become like a mirror and they reflect happiness." - Drew Barrymore

What's your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?

Does drinking coffee count as indoor activity? OK ok… indoor.. I have a guilty habit of binge watching TV shows on Netflix late at night. OR barre workout classes/SoulCycle. I'm addicted. As for outdoors, I love running and hiking. I'm definitely an outdoors junkie.

What quality do you admire most in others?

Generosity. I love seeing people help others and give, even when they don't have much to offer.

What's your favorite month of the year?

October! I love fall. Growing up on the East Coast made me fail in love with fall. Plus, it's my birthday month and Halloween (which also happens to be my amazing niece's birthday!)

What sound do you love?

The ocean. Hard rain with thunder. And dirtbikes. Weird, right? The ocean is my happy place, rain and thunder is the most relaxing sound and oddly enough, I grew up around dirt bikes and just love the sound of it. It's exciting!

If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?

Emma Watson. What a girl! She is so brilliant as an actress and generous as a human being.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Probably rudeness. I think please and thank you are underrated words.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

Oh my gosh. There are so many things. I would love to be able to sing and play piano. I tried… it wasn't pretty.

If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?

John F. Kennedy. I have such a soft spot for him, as a leader and an activist. He did so much good for the world in the short amount of time he was in power.

Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?

Natalie Portman

What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?

'MMMBop' such a HANSON fanatic! 'Mud on the Tires' by Brad Paisley. There's so many! But mostly country.

At what age did you become an adult?

Oh, I haven't! Just kidding. I guess 23, when I moved to California on my own, knowing no one. I think that was a quick reality check!

What is your favorite food?

Almost any seafood! Lobster! Clams! Mussels! I grew up on the East Coast and was spoiled by the amazing seafood.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Enjoy every second. I know everyone says that, but looking back... I had such great experiences through high school and college and wish I lived it up even more! Life is too short to be anything but happy!
